Hunting in Namibia
Namibia is home to the oldest desert in the world, the Namib Desert. Many believe that Namibia only consists of dry open landscapes however in the North Eastern corner lies the Zambezi Region which is home to many dangerous game animals and borders Botswana, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Here the bush is thick and rivers flow throughout the year. One can find Buffalo, Elephant and Leopard in this region. The hunting areas are all large, un-fenced concessions where animals roam freely between all the countries and cross the rivers that separate them.
Namibia offers diversity in its hunting experience both from a terrain and species point of view. In Namibia many plains game species can be hunted including, Gemsbuck, Kudu, Springbuck, Wildebeest, Waterbuck and many many more. A true gem to Namibia is the Damara Dik Dik which can only be hunted in Namibia - a rare specimen for any collector. All these plains game species can be shot in the central regions of Namibia.
In the North West corner lies the Kunene Region which borders the Skeleton Coast Park. This area is renowned for it desert elephants and lions as well as being home to some of the largest Springbuck and Gemsbuck, as well as the unique Hartmans Zebra.
Namibia is a safe and beautiful country with breathtaking scenery that offers any hunter an experience never to be forgotten!
